Westwood One’s NCAA® Men’s Tournament coverage to air on ESPN 980

ROCKVILLE, Md. (Dec. 8, 2017) – Red Zebra Broadcasting announced today that Westwood One’s play-by-play coverage of the NCAA® Men’s Basketball Tournament will be featured on ESPN 980 in the nation’s capital in 2018. ESPN 980 will broadcast game action from the First Four® to the Final Four® and National Championship.

“From the debates of Selection Sunday to the Cinderellas and buzzer-beaters, the frenzied excitement of the NCAA Tournament is unmatched,” said Chris Johnson, ESPN 980 Director of Programming. “We’re thrilled to carry Westwood One’s wall-to-wall coverage of the Big Dance® for all of D.C. on ESPN 980.”

The station’s comprehensive coverage of college basketball begins with several conference championships including the Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 and SEC.

University of Maryland men’s basketball can also be heard all season long on ESPN 980 and the ESPN 980 app.

ESPN 980 features 14 hours of live and local sports talk Monday through Friday. Fans can hear all of the dynamic programming on WTEM 980 AM as well as globally to a worldwide audience on the ESPN 980 and Redskins mobile apps.
