The Washington Redskins was looking to start 2-0 for the first time since 2011 but ended up not scoring a touchdown.
The ‘Skins lose their first game of the 2018 NFL in their home opener against the Indianapolis Colts, 21-9. Quarterback Alex Smith had a pretty decent game in the air, going 33 for 46 and 292 passing Yards. Running Back Chris Thompson caught 13 passes for 92 yards but the ground game was missing today.
As a team, the Skins rushed 22 times for only 65 yards.
Colts (1-1) Quarterback Andrew Luck threw for two touchdowns and two interceptions, both to Skins Safety D.J. Swearinger.
Washington will look to rebound when Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers come to town next Sunday.
