“Inside the Locker Room” has been a fan-favorite on The Team 980 for years,  and now listeners will be treated to an extra hour of breaking news, interviews, and game analysis from 1-4 p.m. 

Former Washington Redskins Super Bowl champions Brian Mitchell and Rick “Doc” Walker team up with  co-host Scott Jackson to bring you expert analysis on the Washington Redskins, Nationals, Capitals and more.

Redskins Legend (and future NFL Hall of Famer) Brian Mitchell is the Co-host of ‘Inside The Locker Room’ with Doc Walker and Scott Jackson Mon – Fri from 1 to 4 on The Team 980.

Mitchell spent 14 years in the NFL as a return specialist and running back from 1990 to 2003, including 10 seasons with the Redskins. He also spent three years with the Philadelphia Eagles and one with the New York Giants. In 223 games, he gained more than 23,000 all-purpose yards, which is still second on the all-time NFL list, behind only Jerry Rice! He recorded 13 career special-teams touchdowns, which also ranks second in NFL history.

A Super Bowl Champion with the Redskins in 1992, Mitchell was named an NFL All-Pro three times and was a Pro Bowler in 1995. He was inducted into the Redskins ‘Ring of Fame’ in 2009 and was named to the team’s 70th Anniversary Team.
Mitchell played collegiately at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, which is now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. 
Brian is also the high profile host of NBC Sports Washington DC’s daily talk and debate show, SportsTalk Live with Brian Mitchell, and an analyst for the Network’s Redskins Gameday shows.

Rick “Doc” Walker a veteran of nine NFL seasons distinguished himself on the football field with his blocking and timely pass catching.  Doc was a starting tight end for Coach Joe Gibbs 1982 World Champion Washington Redskins.
He developed the concept of the Skins “Fun Bunch” and was an original member of the famed offensive linemen known as the “HOGS.”  
Playing for coach Dick Vermeil’s UCLA Bruins.  Rick received Lineman of the Year honors in 1977 and became a Rose Bowl Champion.  Also that year the Associated Press honored Walker an All American. 
He is co-host Inside the Locker Room on The Team 980 Monday-Friday 1pm-4pm with Scott Jackson and Brian Mitchell.
Walker has also been a college football television analyst for ESPN, The Big East Network, and The ACC, as well as a color analyst for the NFL on CBS-Westwood One Radio.  Currently Rick is the sideline reporter for the Washington Redskins Radio Network, Host of Inside the Redskins on NBC 4, Co-Host on the Redskins pregame show on Fox 5 and Football Central on CSN Washington.  
Selling Power Magazine chose Rick “Doc” Walker as one of the region’s top motivational speakers, for speaking engagements Doc specializes in corporate team building and sales training. 
He was awarded the George Michael Excellence in Media Award and the Thomas G. Corcoran Award from the University Club of Washington DC.
As an event chairman he has helped the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation the Alzheimer’s Association and the Arthritis Foundation.

Scott Jackson co-hosts “Inside the Locker Room” with Doc Walker and Brian Mitchell from 1pm-4pm on The Team 980.  Jackson is also in his first year hosting the Official Washington Redskins Postgame Show with Clinton Portis.
Scott is in his second stint at WTEM (Formerly Sports Talk 980) where he was the Wizards Radio Host from 2000-2006 and an update anchor and fill in host.  Scott also hosted national shows on Yahoo Sports Radio and hosted shows in Jacksonville, Florida and Raleigh, NC and San Francisco, Ca, during his 23-plus year broadcast career.
Scott was born and raised in the Washington DC Area and is a fan of all the DC pro teams and a proud Old Dominion University graduate.
